Performance-Enhancing Drugs
Do you think athletes should be punished for using performance-enhancing drugs? Should athletes be aloud to use performance-enhancing drugs during their sports season, on the off season, or both?
- It is proven that young athletes have abused this substance. Clinics are trying to train adolescents mostly football players that abuse this drug.
- Blue Cross And Blue Shield Association surveyed teens between the age 12 and 17 about the drug. Approximately 1.1 million kids this age have potentially taken it.
- 39% of athletes state that performance-enhancing supplements and drugs are their number one concern in their sport.
- 27% of teens say they take the drug to make themselves "look better", an increase of 19% since 2001.
